Absolutely on both counts, definitely in the case of individual libertarians. It would seem silly of the Libertarian party to even field a candidate if he wins the nomination. BTW, the guy from Zogby polls was on Alex Jones today and said that based on their polling Ron Paul could beat Hillary, and likely has the best chance of any Republican to do so.

The other answers here highlight the problem with American politics... people vote based on age, appearance, etc. instead of taking the time to learn the issues and understand logical solutions. To answer your question, yes I would vote for a Ron Paul ticket (doesn't matter to me if Goldwater is on or not). Ron Paul is the ONLY politician that has a reasonable solution to the problems we are facing.

I imagine they will endorse whoever the Libertarian candidate is.They could also choose Ron Paul.
In the real world it doesn't matter. Paul doesn't stand a snowballs chance in Hell of getting the Republican nomination. His supporters may be enthusiastic but he still polls at about 4%.

I think Paul has enough grassroots support that he will, after failing to gain the Republican nomination, become the Libertarian candidate and just might turn this thing on its ear.

Solid question-I don't think the Libertarian party would endorse Paul. They have their own party that the members have put their time into. Therefore they wouldn't just abandon their own candidate, even if they like Paul's ideology.

Ron is really a libertarian pretending to be a Republican.
His problem is that national polls have him at about 4 to 5%, so unless you know something I don't then I doubt he will make it.
