My original battery is about to kick the bucket. It's dying a slow death. Should I order a new OEM battery from Dell for $$$. Or is it safe to order one through another site that's not OEM? Any recommendations on good sites and battery manufacturers? Thanks.

My company uses the batteries from upstart battery. They come with a lifetime warranty, so you don't need to worry about those crappy knockoffs anymore. We got one super cheap off eBay once, but if was a fake... never worked for more than 10 minutes.

I've had 3 batteries die on me, the first came with my refurbished laptop (bad choice), the second and third I bought through different sites.

I gave up on batteries, but if I were to buy one I'd go through Dell.

Hi. Bought one on eBay and it never worked well, then died. I would go with Dell OEM if I had it to do over.
