Try to let them grow out for a few weeks then go to the salon and they will remove them. It kinda hurts. The more they grow out the less it will hurt. They pretty much soak your nails in some solution then try to pry the acrylic off. Your real nails underneath will look really bad for a while.

professionally speaking if you listen to the first comment you will ruin your nail beds.... if you want to have them removed you have 2 choices but first if you have tips on then you will need to cut the tips off with clippers then:
1. purchase pure acetone polish remover(now this is not as strong as it should be because you have to have a license to purchase the 100% acetone)you will have to soak for a couple of minutes and then use an orange wood stick or a nail file to gently file away the acrylic and continue this process until all the acrylic has been removed or
2. go back to the salon and have them professionally removed by a licensed nail tech who knows what they are doing

Clip the information (length) down so a ways as you like. Get some organic acetone from any save that sells familiar polish remover. Take some aluminum foil decrease into squares, and a few cotton balls. moist the cotton ball with acetone, lay it on the nail and canopy with the foil, as tight as attainable. Repeat all 10 nails or one hand at a time. do not peek or open the foil for a minimum of 20 minutes, then one by one, get rid of the foils and with a wood pusher - orange wood stick- scrape the acrylic off.. it is going to come ideal off.. you could repeat if some lines are left. in case you peek, the acrylic will start to harden right this moment, so it rather is maximum suitable to attend and spot :) once you get all of it off verify you provide your self a hefty dose of a few reliable hand cream because of the fact the acetone is amazingly drying to the encompassing epidermis. wish this permits ~

You can soak them in nail polish remover and gently pry them off, or go back to where you got them done and have them do it. It will damage your nails so buy a good file with different sides to file, buff and shine.

You have to soak them in professional strength nail polish remover (acetone). Try looking in the beauty supply stores for professional strength.

Go back to the salon and they give you the easiest way of getting them off and thats soaking them and they dissolve in that water.
Or get a sharp object and slowly poke around the outer edges (it will feel uneasy because of the glue) and do taht til you get to the center where you can completely take the nail off.

You need to file them down to where they are short and just let them grow out until they get to the ends of the nailbed and get loosened up a bit. Trying to pry them off is painful and can rip your fingernail off.
Go to Walgreen's and get a fingernail file made for acrylic nails and file them down short - they'll feel better until you grow them out.
