No specific order:
1. The Odyssey
2. The Iliad
3. The Criminal History of Christianity, 1 & 2
4. The Mythmaker
5. The Lost Years of Jesus
6. The Complete Works of Josephus
7. The Golden Bough
8. Juan Salvador Gaviota
9. La Vida es Sueño
10. Don Quijote
Each one has a very personal meaning to me, but especially "Don Quijote", which is the story of a dreamer that even after being defeated, kept his pride intact.

Pride and Prejudice - it's the best and every attempt to copy it is always botched so don't go by that.
Terry Pratchett books- esp. THUD! and Night Watch- b/c they're ironic, laugh-out-loud sarcastic, brilliant.
Dune- an excellent sci-fi classic
some children's books- The Phantom Tollbooth, Matilda- to make me smile
Ender's Game- because the characters are so real and the story so engaging
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy- Keeps me in stitches
Many Waters- I can read it and go back to the beginning and start again
A really big one I've never seen before with a leather cover and very small print- Fun to hold and should keep me going for a while
That's ten, right?

You stipulate we must have only your own sectarian translation, the KJV. It has some added Scriptures, some definitely trinity biased, (1 John 5:7) as well as other misleading mistranslations in it, but despite that the following I believe I could learn w/o the aid of the Watchtower pubs: 2. Never was there a more deceptive doctrine advanced than that of the trinity. (Trinity false; but it is NOT the most deceptive, just one of many) 3. The Son of God (Jesus) was known as Michael before he came to earth. 4. To get one's name written in that book of life will depend on one's works, whether they are in fulfillment of God's will and approved by his Judge and King. 5. Only a limited number of persons, a 'little flock,' will go to heaven. The rest of faithful humankind will live on earth as the subjects of these rulers. 6. The fiendish concepts associated with a hell of torment slander God and originate with the chief slanderer of God (the Devil). 7. Saluting the flag is an act of worship. 9. Christians must not have blood transfusions. 11. Higher education should be discouraged because it conflicts with witnessing. =============== The following I did not list above, and reason why: 1. The Bible cannot be properly understood without Jehovah's visible organization. I would recognize I needed some additional guidance to understand it properly, but without knowledge of what was available I would not be aware of his organization. 8. Nowhere in the Bible do we find that we should worship our parents by having a Father's Day. Certainly I would be aware that "Nowhere in the Bible do we find that we should worship our parents by having a Father's Day." However, I probably would not be aware of all of the ramifications involved in such an observance. 10. The cross is a pagan symbol; actually Jesus died on a torture stake. As I said, you restricted me to your own sectarian translation, the KJV, which mistranslates the Greek word "stauros" as cross rather its proper term stake. See Vine's Lexicon. 12. Husbands and wives must not have oral sex. I guess I would have no access to any lexicons or anything, so I may not be aware that this is included in "pornea" (fornication) but I guess if I was alone it wouldn't matter anyway. I am thankful to Jehovah that I do have access to information from the slave appointed to feed his servants the proper diet at the proper time.

The complete works of Shakespeare + The Bible - the two classics, the more you read them the more you get from them.
The Lord of the Rings - Good story and if you read them enough you might start to understand the songs.
The Life of Pi by Yann Martell - Good survival story.
The Stars my Destination - Alfred Bester - Sci Fi classic.
Life & Times of the Thunderbolt Kid - Bill Bryson - Good Comedy also my era.
Encyclopedia of Flora & Fauna - useful to know what you can eat on island also educational to stimulate brainmatter.
Anything by Spike Milligan - Excentricity at its best.
This should give a good cross section and keep you sane.
