It appears that Bush's strategy is to endorse Clinton, hoping that Clinton will be the Democratic nominee.

Although Clinton is the best qualified for the presidency, she does not cross over party lines very well; which means most, if not all Republicans, will elect the Republican nominee; while some Democrats may vote for the Republican nominee, if they don't like Clinton.

In the meantime, the Independents may support their candidate or the Republican nominee.

Thus, Clinton as the Democratic nominee may ensure that the Republican nominee shall prevail in the presidential election.

This is not the first time he has offered an opinion about Sen. Clinton being President. Perhaps he's hawking her because he believes the notion that she's the one Republicans can beat. The ones who believe this need to buy the economy sized bottle of aspirin for Election Day.

Well, for a change, George made sense if he in fact said that. Hillary has gone through the ringer her whole political life and has been up to the task. I know I could not stand up to the lies, innuendos allegations and garbage that is thrown at her every day. She can definitely stand the heat, there is no doubt about that. She is very intelligent. If she surrounds herself with good people she would be a formidable president.

Republicans: the worst u . s . a . of america has to grant. Insultingly stupid, evil, racist, misogynist, homophobic bigots destroying u . s . a . of america. in basic terms a handful of them do not belong in penal complex or a psychological well-being facility. Democrats: pathetic fvcking cowards who've been governing to the main suitable suited of Reagan and Nixon and who the rednecks might vote for back in the event that they had in basic terms hate women human beings and blacks brazenly back. Neither occasion merits to exist and we will not exchange right into a good us of a back until they circulate away.

It was some other meaning...he has a MAJOR crush on her!

I agree with what Crocolyl said and I think MenifeeM hit it right on the nose.

As I said before...Loofa for president!

The Bushs and Clintons are too close for comfort. I support the most qualified candidate and peacemaker Governor Bill Richardson.

Yes, he wants her to get the nod from the Dems. He knows she is unelectable.
