Seriously??

Your question doesn't even make sense.

What does democracy have to do with the prosecution of war crimes?

Donald Rumsfield was never charged with anything which is why he wasn't prosecuted. If he was charged with a crime resigning would not have made a difference he would have been in court.

I am thinking you may need to study up on how a democracy works, how the judicial system works, how the U.S. deals with international law, and while you are at it you may want to study up on what Donald Rumsfield did and then try to point out exactly what crime he committed?

Not that I am a Rumsfield fan exactly, I think he could have done things a bit different. I am just not understanding exactly what your point is?

Democracy is not a good thing. That is why we were found as a republic. Under a democracy we can crucify a Christ. Under a republic, each and everyone has rights above the majority. To the republic for which we stand... Democracy is called a mob rule. I do not wish to hurt you, but only two types of people support a democracy, the traitor and those that do not know the difference... ignorant in these types of governments. Please keep this in mind, you will know the difference in the two. Bless you brother. You can know longer walk the middle of the road! Dale

Donald Rumsfeld was not charged with war crimes.

And if a person is accused of and then charged of war crimes, it does not matter if the person is in office or not. Being "blamed for" something is a far cry from being "charged with".

If you want to make a point, at least get your facts straight.

Your right. Democracy is overrated. Let's all bring on the dictators and absolute rulers. Vote shmote, who cares about what the people want. No bread? Let them eat cake! No education for the poor? Who cares so long as the elite get more than they need.

Let's make Bush King and let him pursue whatever war he wants. No need for Congressional oversight, a free press or an informed public. Heck, if we try hard enough, maybe we can aspire to be grand like North Korea!

Democrats never resign when they are caught doing wrong but to relate to a level you would understand:

Papa Stalin murdered more people than Hitler- millions but I guess you don't consider this a war crime, since he was a communist.

Fidel murdered quite a few people, his gay brother has such a hot temper, he used to shoot people when he got mad at them but Fidel is on your team.

I guess you feel anyone who is a capitalist is evil, so if a capitalist were to defend themself from a terrorist, then you think he is a war criminal. When do liberals, socialists, communists and democrats ever resign- they don't.

History is full of such events. It helps when you win the war and write the history. If we lost WWII would FDR and Truman have been executed for fire bombing the German and Japanese cities?
