Please help!! An owner of a business who owes me money, I know he owes a company. He promise me to return the money to me but just dont know when. Is there anyway I can put a lien against his business. If yes, how to do it? thanks.

you need to go to small claims court if the amount is not overly substantial.

Depends upon the company... Companies are separate entities from the person as protection.

However, if you can get a judgement against your friend in small claims court, you can put a lien on his house or any property. If you dig around, you can put a lien on his bank account. I'm not 100% sure about the bank account, I heard other people talking about it.

Did you have a written agreement? If not, your only hope is to go to court and try to convince the judge that a legal debt exists.

itwould be cheaper to take him to small claims court!!!!
