I want to be original and different so I want to wear light purple converse. Do you think people will make fun of me because it looks gay? I'm not gay though.

Well culture will associate light purple shoes with a certain group the I believe you are ready to be different be different. If you are self-confident enough to be yourself. Yes it may be you will be considered gay wearing violet shoes. "So what" what is the occasion? Does it call for violet shoes? Are you entertainer? Are going to a dance? Those occasions to show originality and be different, but not a funereal or wedding because those places is not about you but about others. What is occasion and decide if being original would be interesting express to others.

If you can't stand the teasing, then dont get the purple. Chances are, people will make comments whether you know about it or now. Try getting other shoes or another color. This one guy at my school had a pair of high tops with a hundred dollar bill design that were pretty awesome.

depends on what ur pairin it up with....if ur wearin purple with a purple shirt then ya....kinda gay but if you matchin it with like a purple and brown plaid shirt with jeans and converse no. It really depends on what your wearin with it. Plus if ur not gay then who cares about what other ppl think....u might end up a trendsetter !

no, as long as it's your style, and hpow purple are they? and if the shoes are really bright, then maybe otherwise be confident and noone will say anything, hey i have orange shoes and evryone loves em! haha
