I would try sueing the place that charged you $201 to fix your lugnuts, they got away with robbery, you should have had the car towed back to Menikie when you had the wheel problem and made them fix it and pay for the tow bill.

If you can prove it, and I mean the people who took off the lug nut can show that they had to use excessive torque and broke the stud. Otherwise Menikie can point the finger at whoever was trying to remove your lug nut, claiming it was removed improperly.

Of course whoever charged you $201 to fix and replace the stud made off with a fortune.

My boss had a stud and lug replaced and costed him only $25 at the dealership.

I do it myself if the stud breaks. Stud typically costs $2. New lug nut $1.

yes u can. You prolly could get the 201 baq plus the price of the work they did. Hope u had the car checked out by perfossionals becuase the wheel breaking or coming off could damage more on the car.

Yeah....Hire a lawyer.....are you serious? If you have the receipt, take it to the shop where you had the work done and make them "pony up". It happened to me once when I bought some tires. The wheel almost came off. I had the car towed back and I made them fix it on the spot.

have you take the bill to them and demanded that they pay for the damage.
going to court will cost you more in time and effort than 201. dollars
do you have or can you prove in a court of law they are at fault and that your neglect or Vandals did not loosen them.
good luck

You can sue over anything.
The question is will you win and at what cost.
Just don't go back there and tell your acquaintances why. It will cost them more in the long run.

you should have called them immediately..
they would have had it towed and repaired it for free..
.this stuff happens more than you think....
that is one reason i don't let other people work on my cars
