The probability of an event is the likelihood of event A occurring on any occasion when an event could occur. Statistically, a 20% chance means that once out of every five occasions will see Event A occur. This is not a guarantee, however; it is merely a statistical prediction.

Frequency relates to the periodicity of Event A. How often does it actually happen?

Probability is a statistical predictor; Frequency is a record of past performance.
