If I get chapterd from the military for not having a primary care plan, can I still get my retirement?

I'm a single parent and have 2 children living with me who do not have a relationship with they're mother. I do not have anyone to list as a primary care plan in the event I deploy. My unit is considering chaptering me out because of this. My retirement package has already been approved and I am due to retire in 9 months. Can I still retire and collect my retirement pay as well as receive an honorable discharge?

Only if you make it to 20 years. Can't you find someone to take care of them for 9 months?
