Our forefathers, through wisdom and devotion, started and built what was once a great nation.
Many famous and intelligent people from that time until now have spoken to these time honored and sound principles.
All that have been born to this generation, have done nothing but run what was once great into total disarray.
Our money is worth less daily, everything is polluted, and the government is totally out of hand and running rampant.
We need to stop and look at what the great minds of the past thought about what should be done.
If we continue to ask for truth, then refuse to listen.
Mankind will forever, be doomed to destruction.
unknown
Maybe we should then act upon the principles from the past as they work so well.
This once great nation is the proof that the principles from the past do work so very well.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpation's, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
This is quoted from the American Declaration of Independence!
"When ancient opinions and rules of life are taken away, the loss cannot possibly be estimated. From that moment we have no compass to govern us, nor can we know distinctly to what port to steer."
Edmund Burke
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence. It is force, and like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.
George Washington
"... whenever any form of government becomes destructive ... it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it..."
Thomas Jefferson
"I hold it, that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical."
Thomas Jefferson
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
Thomas Jefferson
"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."
Samuel Adams
If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.
Samuel Adams
The government is merely a servant — merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn't. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.
Mark Twain 1835 -1910
No government ought to exist for the purpose of checking the prosperity of its people or to allow such a principle in its policy.
Edmund Burke
CAPITAL, n. The seat of misgovernment. That which provides the fire, the pot, the dinner, the table and the knife and fork for the anarchist; the part of the repast that himself supplies is the disgrace before meat.
Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914)
Politics: A strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles. The conduct of public affairs for private advantage.
Ambrose Bierce
Liberty, n: One of imaginations most precious possessions."
Ambrose Bierce
A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government.
Edward Abbey

I think they are far more oppressive then most people see. The Constitution is Our Contract with the Government . They abuse it and ignore it on a regular basis. Did you know that the Supreme Court has ruled before that the Income Tax was unconstitutional before it was sold to the public about 40 years later during WW2 as a tax of 1% of those who made 40,000 dollars a year in 194? . Our Founding Fathers didnt say " We shall Police The World because were good like that", they advocated a Non Interventionalist Foreign Policy. This doesnt mean no trading or diplomacy it just means dont police the world . We start pre emptive Wars as a matter of policy now. That was Hitlers policy, it was folly then, it is folly now, we are no longer just opresing our own citizens we are oppresing citizens around the World., we give Billions of Dollars in aid to corrupt malicous regimes , Pervez.
The only way any of this stops is if we vote for Ron Paul..
Dont tolerate the Patriot Act.

We should pray.
And pray hard and long.
What you witness in Iraq is a sample of what's to come.
As natural resources dry up because of the global warming they say is not happening, we are going to find ourselves slaves to the ruling class.
As we sit back and think everything is alright, they are giving us bread and circuses while they devise prisons and weaponry that will kill in mass amounts so if people do decide to try to revolt, it would be hopeless.
I know what you maybe thinking but hear me out.
All that is happening now is mentioned in The Bible.(Matt 24, 2 Tim 3:1-5 and Revelations.)This is just the start.
Jah is our only hope.Just as you can read the Bible and understand why we are in the condition we find ourselves in, that same book can be a source of hope.
The Creator doesn't lie. In fact the only thing Jah cannot do is lie (Hebrews 6:18, Isaiah 55:10, 11)
OK, briefly, When Jehovah created the physical universe, He had plans for the earth and mankind (Genesis 1:26-31)
That plan has not changed (remember Isa.55:10, 11?)
But man had to learn that following Satan , or not trusting in Jehovah, was not the way to go.(Jag told Adam if he ate from the tree he would certainly die, Satan said "no it ain't so. Adam ate Adam dead.)
But man had to find out for himself that man can not rule man (Jer.10:23)
So, things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.

One should vote and be a part of positive change as much as possible. As a patriot, however, one has a responsibility and a duty to revolt if the country is in danger, even if that danger is from its own government.

Revolt isn't likely. The only people allowed to kill are the military. Recently there has been mind control and dumbing down. Voting is much easier, so we should be well informed on all issues' arguments and not be sideswiped by one issue.

Depends on what you mean by "more oppressive." I don't think the government is right now and a lot of liberals think that it's terribly oppressive. I'm all for voting and exhausting all peaceful options. I'd never vote for Ron Paul, though. I'd vote for Hillary first.

If we wait decades it will be too little too late. They have already destroyed democracy. what are we waiting for.
A miracle? we have to do something before they become so powerful that we have to wait for another country to invade us in order to be free.
