It's always best to start off with the first game in a series. Metal Gear Solid 1 is for PS1 but playable on any Playstation System. Its real nice, and you wont feel lost when you start playing MGS2 or MGS3. You'll know what previously happened.

I easily have in no way performed them earlier, i be responsive to the only that anyone is worked up approximately popping out quickly is MGS4, weapons of the Patriots. I easily have a PS3 so i discern that i visit purpose it. that's going to likely be a PS3 unique and it is impossible for it to ever come to XBOX 360, it might take 9 DVD's

Start with number 1, the best in my opinion. The graphics are a little dated as its for the PS1, but a damn fun game.

I'd start with MGS3, then get MGS1 and then MGS2. MGS3 is where the story starts, so starting with that should give you a better understanding of the story.

I started with part 2(sons of liberty), all my friends recommended it so I got it, and I loved it. the gameplay was lots of fun, and the story was interesting. but i never played the first part. so i dont know if it is good. but its better to try it out.
