The flex fan is a factor of the subject. No shroud is the different issue. the two installation an electric powered fan or placed the unique fan lower back on with a clean grasp and placed the fan shroud lower back on. or you could attempt the flex fan with the shroud lower back on if it suits. What little air it is being pulled in at stops by potential of your flex fan is being misdirected and then warmed by potential of the warmth from the engine and blowing lower back on the radiator. it relatively is no longer cooling it off.
