I don't think it is bred in the bone. but is more to do with enculturation. I have noted from my observations of friends' kids, that girls hold grudges a lot longer than boys do, and are generally more suspicious of each other. Boys tend to let things happen, while girls tend to try to script their lives or make drama where none exists.
Just read some of the teenager questions on here: How can I make him like me? He likes someone else, what can I do? I think he's gay, what should I do about it? You do not see these kinds of questions posed by boys of the same age range.

Some girls hate that the new girl is hoter than her. They also hate that other girls tell roomers about them. If more guys hang around one girls the others start to hate her. Then The get into a cat fight(which is some times cool to watch).They hate girls that tell them what to do or when the gett in to troulb the hate when thew sniches and tell their boss or teacher. That also hate girls that think that they are all they.

I do not think girls hate each other I just think girls envy each other which makes it seem like we hate each other. Like I can be your friend one minute but then talk about you the next. We are just jealous b*tches what can I say, lol

Girls don't hate each other, we hate being less than someone else. When we see somebody who seems to have things figured out better than us, or who we think looks better than us, it sets off all our defense mechanisms. The best defense is a good offense.

We don't all hate each other some women just clash just like some guys don't get along. The difference between men and women disliking one another is that women are much more catty and vocal about it then men are.

Women are very competitive with each other, so there are some jealous women who are always thinking another woman is a threat to their boyfriend, or because a girl is prettier in her mind! Women.. who can figure them out?

you should rephrase that question to... "why do SOME girls hate each other?" because SOME girls are just insecure and that's their way of dealing with their own issues. it always stems from other issues too, so it's like the snowball affect... and you should steer clear if you're in the line of fire. lol

Girls are like cats, and for some reason we have to really get to know one another till we like eachother. I don't think it is jealousy, i think it goes far beyond that. And now more then ever its almost expected of us to hate other girls we don't know. Its actually quite stupid.

Because some girls are mean. FOr instance, I'm a jeans and tshirt girl and I mean TSHIRTS, not fancy vnecks or whatever. I like tennis shoes too and so many girls look at me with this grossed out look on their faces like "oh my god I cant believe she's wearing THAT" which is why I dont like many girls. I'm fine as long as they aren't snobs....
