My Computer Charger stopped working?

The green light on the charger went out, and it stopped working, the charger itself (when plugged in) starts beeping, constantly, any clue why? (gateway comp., HP charger)

Hi. The beeping is either an error code or a mechanism to get your attention. In either event it sounds like a new charger is in order.

To put it simply...it sounds like the charger is goosed
