Both started, financed and armed by greedy Elites.
The war on terror, should be called the war of terror.

you have asked a great question but the answers are sort of complex
war is generally between 2 defined enemies regardless of the number of countries that might be on either side.
in the second world war, you had Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan against europe and then america.

in the case of the terror war, it is religious in nature. you have 1.6 billion islam faithful waiting to slaughter anyone and everyone

No single army, or armies of the world can stop that tide once it begins to ebb and flow in open warfare

while alike, they are vastly different. you can reason with an enemy, you can not reason with a godless mob which islam terrorist are.
