I have been barefoot for well over ten years, for free. It's comfortable and, contrary to popular myth, it's healthy too. And I can do everything I would do with shoes; I can honestly say I have never in all those years refrained from doing something I would've done if I had worn shoes. I work barefoot (including even the job interviews, was hired both times), hike barefoot, run barefoot, go to the store, I stay barefoot summer and winter... feet get very tough very quickly so it's really no big deal. Here in the Netherlands there aren't any stores with 'no shoes, no shirts, no service' signs, nor have I seen any on my trips to Belgium and Scotland. But even in the US there are NO laws requiring footwear in stores, see source. Stores can set their own policy but signs giving the Health Department as the reason are just plain false.
I'm very happy barefoot and I wouldn't wear shoes for even an hour for £100.

Sorry, you'd have to give me a lot more than that to make it worth it. I wouldn't be able to go to work, run errands, walk my dog, etc. Definitely not worth it.
