For semi-formal I always wear a dress!
For a cruise, it would be a corset top with thin straps and big turquoise jewelry and a light, long skirt with strappy sandals
I would go with pale solid colors in the fabric, possibly sea blue or natural linen color.
If not a cruise, I would probably wear black, but I think a cruise calls for pale colors and flowing fabric (flowing on the skirt at least, not the top, lol)
Maybe bangle ankle jewelry for fun

I have this black, slickish, dress that has regular looking sleeves and then they sort of poof out a bit, they come down to about the middle of my upper arm. The hem of the dress hits about the top of my knee. I wear jet black hose under them and then I wear black wedges or pumps. It's very "high-fashion." Hah.

A pretty, flowery skirt and matching silk top and matching jewelry and then some strappy sandals to match. I would want to have my hair up also.
