Why is every act of violence or insurgency in Iraq now blamed on Alquaeda?

and why does our government make a big deal about Iranian weapons found in Iraq when Iraq is actually full of weaponry from all over the world and most of them from the United States. Yes, even american weapons are being used to kill american soldiers.

Al Qaeda aparently has some damn good PR folks. They're not being 'blamed,' they're 'taking credit.' Each act of violence is a victory over the Great Satan, afterall.

Iraq is indeed full of weapons from Sadam's long arms build up, including some American weapons, and doubtless contemporary American weapons are occassionally stolen or scavenged, as well. The deal with Iranian weapons showing up is that they're evidence of Iran lending direct material support to the insurgency. Something which they have every reason to do and that everyone knows they're doing, but which, for the sake of political form, they must occassionally deny publically, even while taking bows for it from other quarters.

I wasn't aware that it was. Where are you getting your info on the war ? If a government is currently sending weapons into Iraq, then they must be held accountable.
