I have a research paper due tomorow, wednesday. with the topic above, what would my research paper be on?

It would be the light they are attracted to, not the heat. It's called phototaxis. Try looking up phototaxis and you'll get plenty of information. You might want to focus on the theory that insects are attracted to light as a navigational cue.

To see if they are attracted to lamps, first remove the light bulb. Then watch the lamp carefully for an hour using a flashlight.
