Yes and then maybe we can begin to educate and inform. People who know
(i.e. users) may have more credibility when warning about the dangers.... and these days only completely deluded fools think there are no dangers .
People who use it but otherwise do not break the law will have no cause to be part of the sub-class/criminal culture or be treated like third class citizens. They will be free to make a meaningful contribution to society.(If they can shake off the lethargy)
Many people who use it are actually self- medicating even though they may not realise it themselves, being unaware they have a problem in the first place... maybe they can get more effective help.
People who want to buy it will not be tempted to buy other heavier drugs which are on offer from the same source. Nor will they be vulnerable to manipulation by those who control the supply. This is rife.... teens, kids and the generally naive get in debt to dealers and they are manipulated into doing 'favours' or as a source of cheap labour.
The money will be pulled out from the black economy which trades in hard drugs guns, pornography, the illegal sex industry and other nasty stuff.

Yes, of course it should. It's far less harmful than alcohol. Nobody commits violent crimes when they are stoned (but they do if they are drunk). It has medicinal values. It can be taxed the same way they do cigarettes (the government needs more money). It would but a lot of drug dealers out of business, which in turn would reduce crime and trafficking. I think it's silly that pot is illegal. I myself don't use it, but it seems kinda strange to me that you can buy a gun in the US at 18, but you can't drink booze until you are 21, and you can never smoke pot. Thing is, smoking pot is a victimless crime. So what's the big deal?

Well I certainly don't smoke it, but yes, I think the world would be better off they just legalized it. Yes, it's bad for you... but it's not that much worse than alcohol and tobacco. But honestly, if they legalized it, then we would have many less people in the corrections systems. I think there should still be laws about it, and repercussions for not handling your business or families... just as there is now for alcohol and street drugs. Just rambling... hope I made sense.

Yes!! If substances as deadly as nicotene and alcohol are legal then why not do the same for marijuana. At least, everyone would walk around with a smile on their face and a joke on their lips instead of killing others while driving drunk or dying from emphysema or lung cancer.
