Should I study management information systems?
I like computers and I like business. But I'm not sure if I should study this degree because
a) computer field changes all the time, my skills would probably soon be obsolete
b) many IT jobs are going to low-cost outsources overseas.

Does anyone in the field have any information about this? Is this a good career to go into?

This will always be a good career path. Certainly some jobs are being shipped over seas but some people dont know that this has alot to do with 24/7 support compannies. If you think in the terms of time zones then they have people over there wokring during the day and its night time here. Its hard to find good help in the US that is willing to work over night.

As far as your degree goes it will be more generalized then anything and if you think about things in general, it ALL changes all the time. Technology drives a lot of market so it will be ever evolving. Just do what you like to do and go for it 100%. I have been in IT over 15 years and enjoy every minute of it, so find a passion and jump in! :-)
