I'd like to keep 1 pair of Convict Cichlids in the smallest tank possible because of my limited space. Is 25gal a big enough tank to keep them?

25g is just fine. i myself have succesfully bred convicts in a tank size of 30 gallons, which is more than enough. but just make sure you have somewhere to put the fry, because they WILL breed, and you dont want to get stuck with 100-150 fry every couple of weeks. just make sure to have plenty of hiding places and you should be ok. good luck..

The 25 gallon is a good size for one pair of convicts. I have kept a breeding pair in a 30 gallon long with no problems.

25 gallons is plenty of room for a pair, but be prepared to re-home the fry, or they will be harassed as the pair prepares for their next spawn...
