"I Come As A Brother'" by Bartholomew.
The deepest, simplist and wisest book I've ever read.
If I had one book to 'take with me' this would be the one!

The 5 books in the Earths Children seres by Jean M Auel, set in prehistory when Neanderthal was starting to die out and CroMagnon starting to become dominant. A real insight as to how the life of these people could have been with some basis in archeological finds. Absolutely brilliant.

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith
It pained a colorful world and it was just beautiful as it looked into the life of this family. It was life as it should be, money only played a little bit of importance. I thought it was a great book.
