Do you like it, or loathe it, or are you just indifferent to it?

I smoke. I enjoy smoking, I have one on the go right now in fact. I have respect for other people's wishes and the law, so I won't smoke in your house or while I'm in a restaurant. If you find the smell of cigarette smoke in my house offensive, you are free to leave, or not come in the first place.
If I ever want to give it up I will, I've given up far worse things than cigarettes in my life. If it kills me 20 years early, so be it. That's 20 years of not having Alzheimers, p*ssing in a tube, siting in a corner of some old folk's home dribbling and muttering to myself, that I won't have to worry about.
Smoking doesn't impair my social skills, and it doesn't turn me into an *sshole when I do it. It's legal, and heavily taxed, so I smoke with a clear conscience.

Smoking is an addictive, disgusting habit that anyone can get hooked into. I could not just "give it up" since I have an addictive personality. After 30 years and several attempts to quit, I finally asked God for help. I was then relieved of my obsession and addiction to nicotine. It has been over 7 years since my last cigarette. I only quit ONE DAY AT A TIME...this is manageable for me.

i used to smoke gave it up cos i couldnt afford it anymore i was always respectful of others that didnt smoke i made the house smokefree due to it being rental and well kids to odf course.

but the real thing is everyone is getting so uptight about how it is a disgusting habit ans all when honestly i rather my kids smoke ciggies that get addicted to other drugs or become an alcoholic.
since when do you hear of peoples abilities affecting their live due to smoking or becoming invincible thinking they can fly and all that. well as addictive as it may be or as disgusting as it may be at less you are in control of your actions unlike all these other substances that are available to our kids.
sorry but i thnk the money is spent getting rid of the drugs first cos they are more dangerous than smoking.

I feel sorry for older people who are really hooked on them but don't understand how anyone could pick up such a dirty and unhealthy habit nowdays with all of the info. on smoking available to everyone.
I do hate to smell smoke in restaurants and public places, why should I smell like an ashtray when I don't smoke myself. it is a selfish habit.
I must admit, my 31 year old son has picked up the habit,I pray he will stop soon.he started after a bad divorce.i think most of the problem is in the person's head and they just don't think about what they are doing.
It is expensive and dirty,Perhapes if they actually saw themselves like others see them, with a smelling stick in the mouths, they would really want to stop the habit.

Money up in smoke. Such a waste and all to ruin the lungs and smell like an old ash tray.
Sorry for those who are seriously hooked, and for their children.

all I know is it is very addictive and hard to quit after smoking for so long. Been trying to quit for quite a while now, pretty damn hard, especially if you are stressed out
