He was nominally a democrat when he was re-elected in November and was already on the committee. As the ranking member of the majority party, he got the chair. Now he caucuses with the republicans, which is where his heart is, so he has the best of both worlds. It's not ironic because "homeland security" is a term Lieberman uses without irony. I don't think he realizes it sounds like something from the Third Reich. Yeah, ok, that doesn't make sense, so I've change my mind. It is ironic.

confident, Lieberman isn't a Democrat so he shouldn't get the privilege of being a member of maximum folk occasion. The (I) next to his call stands for guy or woman for Israel. maximum of what Lieberman does is for his very own income or for Israel. He has no loyalty to a occasion or to the rustic. Lieberman has completed in basic terms approximately not something along with his committee. He in basic terms desires to maintain it so he has a communicate board faster or later to back attack Barack Obama. This has not something to do with loose speech or making judgements on his very own yet approximately belonging to a occasion and helping the participants of the occasion. Lieberman hasn't been the comparable by using fact that he ran for vice chairman and had the controversy with Cheney the place he whined approximately not making any money as Senator and Cheney reported to come again over to their area if he needed money. Lieberman's spouse have been given the enormous salaried lobbyist place after the 2000 loss and his sucking as much as Bush and the GOP. a stable analogy may be if the events have been soccer communities and Lieberman saved throwing the ball to the opposing team so they might win. He does not get to play if he saved helping the different area. permit's settle for it the Democratic and GOP systems are thoroughly diverse and his help of McCain proves that he's not helping the Dems. I additionally believe Mike Truss, Harry Reid is yet another opportunist parading as a Democrat. His sickening appeasement of the criminal Bush is sufficient to make every physique vomit. If Reid can not grant the votes or get something completed, he could step aside and permit somebody else have the area.

real easy, lieberman is an independent senater, who is siding with the democrats in the senate.

that gives the democrats a 51-49 edge in the senate, and thus control og the senate.

that means one more democrat on every committee, than there are republicans on those committee's.

that mean's all the committee chairmen are democrats.

liebermans committee chairmenship is a bribe, to keep lieberman sided with the democratic party.

. otherwise, he could side with the republicans, and the senate would be divided 50 - 50.

the senate majority leader would then be a republican, because of the VP's tie breaking vote.

Why would I find irony in that? Joe Lieberman has been a strong supporter of security initiatives and the war. In fact he was basically ousted by his chosen party in the last election and forced to run as independent for his strong stance on this very issue.
