Clowns, guns and electric shock. The worst part about it is that my husband and father are gun collector types and my husband just happens to be an electrical engineer. It's not a pretty scene in my house when my husband is changing out a light fixture or switch and ends up having to work while the electricity is still on. I honestly used to lock the children in their rooms during these times. I would sit close enough to watch and far enough not to get shocked, with the phone in my hand ready to call 911 just in case my husband got shocked. The other day he was changing out the switches and found that he needed me to come right up next to him and hold one of his electricity detecting doodads while he worked around wires that were still running electricity. I almost fainted in terror and every time his hand came anywhere near a hot wire, I would uncontrollable scream and hide my face. My kids just sat and watched like an audience at a comedy club. They thought it was the funniest thing they had ever seen. My husband did too, but he at least did his best not to laugh. I have decided that I am NEVER doing that again because my heart has never pounded that hard before!

Really large dogs scare me & I am absolutely hyperventilation-inducing terrified of roaches, june bugs & cicadas.....nooo idea why either. The roach one I can trace back to a few incidents with them when I was a small child but the other ones have me clueless. I may be afraid of large dogs only cause I've only owned & been around small dogs my entire life...or maybe cause of an incident w/ a large dog my aunt had when I was little although I don't remember it...parents have told me about it.

Mascots. You don't know where their eyes are and you don't know what gender they are. They freak me out.

I once had to ride on an elevator ALONE with Bango from the Milwaukee Bucks. In retrospect it was funny - me with my mascot fear, him (or her) with the big gloves and antlers, gesturing me out of the elevator before him (or her).
