?Cloud formations?

Question

I am looking for some websites that talk about various cloud formations. I do not want sites that just describe the clouds, but one that tells me about the wind currents and all of that junk. Thanks

What I think what you are asking is sort of a combination of cloud observing (identifying the type of cloud) and some meteorology or forecasting (like reading the clouds as to what may happen next).

In that context, I do not know of sites that really provide what you want.

You didn't say what level of education you have or are enrolled in but I would suggest taking some basic meteorology courses to start understanding what is happening in various cloud formations. There are some books that go into cloud physics but they often are math (calculus) and physics based and for the average person are very difficult to read.

The problem is, that very similar clouds often are formed by different processes and can very easily be misidentified. It takes a little experience in cloud identification and a good grasp of basic meteorology to be able to read clouds correctly.

It doesn't mean you have to have a degree in the subject, people who spend a great deal of time outdoors, (like farmers, hikers, sportsmen, construction and utility workers) and many storm spotters and chasers are very good at reading clouds and use that knowledge well.
