I am planning to get an ipod for X-mas. I want an ipod shuffle. (the small kind)
I want the kind that can clip on your pants or something. Is there a place where you can get music for free? Does it come with a thing where you can get it on your pc?

Ipods come with iTunes, iTunes is the PC side of the iPod.

You can not download music off the Internet for free with iTunes. If you want to steal music then you need to use something like limewire, however you will also need to know how to import music from your limewire folders into your iTunes music library.

Suggestion - ask your parents for a monthly iTunes allowance. At first you go through it quickly, after awhile you will build up a big enough library that you won't go through it so fast. I give my daughter $20/month, her balance has been running in the $40-$50 range for the last year or so.

Consider getting the iPod nano. With a shuffle, the iPod picks the songs to be played. If you want to control the songs you listen to you need to at least have a nano.

You can get music from limewire for free, but its illegal! No, the iPods only come with the iTunes program. You would have to download any other programs online.

By the way, make sure if you want to get a shuffle you can only get about 250 songs and you will have to update later!!!

Hope I helped!

ipods come with an itunes disc that set you up on your computer for music transfers. You can copy your CDs to itunes then transfer them to your ipod. It is fairly simple and costs nothing. However, if you are seeking free music from somewhere else, I would discourage it. People have gotten viruses this way or have received large bills for such downloads. Through itunes, you can buy songs for 99 cents each and don't risk a virus with your download. You'd be better off.
