32^(2/5)
is the same as 5squareroot (32^2)
because you make the numerator the exponent of the number and the denominator the index number of the root

so here we then have:
5squareroot (1024)
= 4
because 4^5 = 1024

It is the fifth root of 32, squared.

2*2*2*2*2 = 32, so the fifth root of 32 is 2, so now you
just take 2 squared to get the answer, which is 4.
