Where do you meet people? I have friends where I live but my family and I are moving and I was just wondering to myself if I will ever have friends there. I do not like to socialize at work, I do not go to church...........so where do adults find friends, what are your experiences with adult friendships?

BIGMAC, I do not say those things in a negative way. I do not go to church because I do not want to and I do not socialize at work because I do not think it is professional to be too friendly with employees. I only mention these two things because that is where a lot of adults meet people.

Well, if you have kids, sometimes other parents become friends. Neighbors can be friends. Other social places that are not work or church related are: gyms, clubs (ie: knitting circles, book clubs etc...) Also school, if you decided to take a class to freshen up your skills. Don't rule out work friends. I know a lot of people who say they don't like to make friends at work, but think about how many hours you spend with these people, if you have something in common with them that's great, be their friend. Good luck, I am sure you will find a new friend.

Maybe the first thing you should ask yourself is......why dont I socialize at work? Why dont I go to church?
I have found that the best way to get a friend is to be a friend.
Also...a smile opens a lot of doors. When you give a smile away you will find it always comes back to you.
If you like people, they will like you.
Good luck!!!
