when people want you to be real all that means is that they want you to really say what they want to here.If by you being real it goes against whatever opinions they have already formed about something they will become offened. The human mind is incredible

So...when did God die and leave you the boss of the world?
Don't you know that "Reality" as well as "truth" is relative, and can mean different things to different people? They may or may not be able to "handle" your defintion of the truth, but maybe you should be asking yourself if it's even your place to make them handle it.
Are you sure you're not using being "real" as a guise to put down, insult or judge others? or to perhaps hide your own insecurities?
In a sense that kind of being "real" can be just as "fake" as being fake. People can see right through that sort of self-righteous thinking...and that is probably the very reason why they are angry with you.

Wow, this is a very good question. The truth is a blinding thing at this day and time. People do not like reality, because it shows where they could be wrong, or, it shows or scrambles there belief. I have noticed people do not like to hear the truth as well.

Reality is relative. It's all about how your perceive that which you see and experience with your own eyes and senses. You can't force someone else to see what you see. They may see something entirely different. The only thing you can do is to keep an open mind.

The truth hurts. And that famous line "you can't handle the truth" comes to mind.

I have no idea what conversations you are referring to, but one can be real and rude, or one can be real and respectful. It may be that the "real" part is not why people are offended.

I concur.
However not all "truths" are acceptable to all people, and not all opposing opinions are an indication that offense was taken.

Why would you want to cause offence? Why do you think you have the take on 'reality'? - you are sounding arrogant.

It's all about tact! You can speak the truth but do it respectfully.
