What I'm really getting at, if you were in for major surgery, would you be happy under the current health crisis!?.

No, I dont think so, I seem to be very happy to walk around on my own even at night time, to shops and take aways. But I have to go for a day surgery procedure soon and even though it is a relatively small thing I am far more nervous. I am worrying about the physical look after the surgery as I dont remember the surgeon ordering an xray for me, so I think he is working from memory, and maby this is possible but Im not so sure.
They also said something about using gas and local anaesthetic rather than general so I can see myself running out of there at some point if Im not too destroyed by the gas or something. They also said to wash with hibiscrub before going in but didnt provide any and though I saw it in the chemist it is expensive. Ive waited two years for this operation and found out that they cancelled it recently but Im glad. I would hate to be on the ward for a couple of nights as well, I'd be having nightmares about the nurses by now, Im sure...

If it's a normal medical ward, then yeah, going to the shop is scarier, but if it's a psych ward then no that's way more scarier.
