i mean my teacher assign me and my friends to choir to sing in the christmas play we're doing. they know that we hated singing(we don't even want to be in the stupid play). so they threaten us that if we don't sing they will take away our privilages. (we can't go on field trips, dance, etc.)they kept saying that they don't want us to embarass ourselves..i mean why are we there in the first place if they know that we will embarass ourselves.

Talk to your parents. I don't believe they can take your privileges away, and they can't make you sing in a Christmas play its called separation of church and state. (unless you go to a religious school but even then they can't MAKE you) Tell your parents talk to the principle or even someone on the board of eduction. They can only punish you with taking away your privileges if you got yourselves in trouble, no because you don't want to sing in a stupid play! Maybe even compromise by saying you and your friends will be stage hands. That really sucks, I hope the best for you.

Get over it. Think of it as a learning opportunity. Perhaps there's more to the story than we're hearing here? Perhaps there's a reason that your teacher is assigning you parts? Personal growth? An opportunity to see that you are capable of this? A gift, really, when you think of it, to show you that your talents lie in something other than trying to buck the system? Instead of whining and crying about the unfairness of it all, how about having fun and giving it your best shot? You are going to be given assignments one day in your real life (ie. jobs) that you're not going to like and there won't be any mommies or daddies who can intervene for you. So what's the very worst thing that will happen to you if you actually cooperate? You'll look great and feel proud for your accomplishments. Go for it.

Tell your parents, tell them you don't want to be in the play, but I suggest you just do what they want you to. You most likely won't win
