I just found out that a member of my family was molested 6 years ago by a family member. Is there anything that we can do to obtain justice for what that person did? Can they still be accused?

Probably if you care about the victim, the place to start is not by seeking vengeance against the perpetrator.

Get the victim the counseling that s/he needs, then worry about any legal matters.

Of course, that is if your priority lies with the victim...

Depends on the Statute of Limitation laws in your unidentified country.

In most countries, also, the SoL doesn't start to run on a crime against a minor until the minor becomes an adult, so the age of the victim at the time is a factor too.

Just as it is important to get the victim help and counseling, it is equally important to get this person off the street so that they don't have a chance to harm anyone else.

Check with your local State's Attorney about the statute of limitations in your state.
