Maybe they are just trying to find balance? something we liberals have been proposing or some time here in the US.

A right turn to where? Europe is more environmental conscious, responsible, has a milder form of capitalism, smarter leaders and a long history of success and failure. The USA is just a childish Bully, sitting happy on a fresh land with immense natural resources, blundering the last bit of them soon.

Western countries must align to remain competitive on an international scale. You will see the U.S. trend Liberal and Europe trend right . . . eventually the entire western world will look something like Canada.
