how to send photos in emails?

my friends get blank photos with no pic n

I have hotmail and it doesn't do a lot of the pictures it use to. When friends send me pictures, some arrive with no problem and some are blank. Just the way mine works.
I wish I could help you, but that's all I know.
I can send more pictures through Yahoo email than I can hotmail.
