A day ago I was trying to mow my yard and I first made sure that it had sufficient oil and gasoline. I primed it up and when I pulled on the cord it sparked for a second and I mowed about a foot of grass and it died. I tried to start it up again but it just made a really loud pop and it died again. Now every time I try to start it you it won't spark and start. I've just changed the spark plug in it and still the same results.
What could be wrong with it?

See if it not getting any gas. Take off the spark plug and spray engine starter in the cylinder. Put the spark plug back. If it runs for a moment, it is not getting any gas.

The computer I'm on doesn't have any speakers, so I can't listen, but I can offer some ideas anyway. First, never run a lawn mower without a blade attached, the engine will overspeed and that can cause serious internal damage. If the mower is vibrating a lot when you attach a straight blade, then you can be quite sure the crankshaft is bent and the motor is trash. If the motor is not vibrating more than usual, but still sounds rough you quite likely sheared the flywheel key and have thrown the timing off. You will need to take it to a small engine shop and have the flywheel removed and the flywheel key replaced. That will solve the timing problem. Good luck.

could be a loose connection in the fuel lines - check to see if the threads on the spark plug are stripped - Other problem may be that something is wrapped around the drive shaft that controls the blades. Check for rope or other types of impediments. Another problem might be bad gas - too much water or something foreign in the gas tank.
Just ideas to check.

firstly take the spark plug out connect it to the cable hang the spark plug againts the metal frame of the mower and pull the starter cord to see if there is a continuous spark, if there is the problem may be inside the carby of the mower, it maybe the needle and seat that allows the fuel to flow through is stuck or there is something blocking theneedle from opening allowing the fuel to flow through.

Pour some gas into the spark plug hole and replace the plug and crank it If you have a bad pickup tube in the gas tank the mower will run for about 10 seconds and die.Replace the filter it aint but a dollar. put fresh gas and clean plug and retry.

How old was the gas? Old gas can gum up a fuel line. Speaking of fuel lines, that could be the problem. If you have a fuel filter, change it. If the unit is very old you could have a bad spark plug wire, but since it started I would focus on a fuel problem.

More than likely, you have water in the gas. Drain the gas, clean the filter, put in fresh gas with a tablespoon or two of denatured alcohol. Mix well, and mow away.

check oil see if there are metal shavings if so your motor blown up . check your air filter make sure it is clean .
if your mower is a older one check the points see if they are still working properly Good Luck
