aside from the fact that scarves come from different brand names, why do cashmere scarves such as Merona Cashmere scarves cheaper than that of other brands by 2x or 3x, when both are 100% cashmere? could it be the quality of the cashmere?

I'm not sure, but I'm under the impression that Murino is wool. Maybe what you're describing is a wool and cashmere blend which is still lovely, but substantially cheaper than pure cashmere. There are different plys and qualities in fine cashmere. I just wish I could afford more!

are you talking about merino wool? Or merona the clothing brand. Merona the clothing brand is a discount brand produced solely for target. And is much cheaper in general than anywhere else. I have no idea what the quality is.

Both Merino and Cashmere are types of wool. Merino comes from sheep and cashmere from goat. There are far stricter rules and regulations for what can be considered cashmere and not. Merino is a very broad/generic term for very fine wool. So cashmere is more rare than merino and thus more expensive.

theres good cashmere and bad cashmere. if ur gonna get a cashmere scarf, pay at least 300 plus on it, or you wont get good cashmere. less than that, id rather get a really good merino wool scarf.
