I have to work a 9 hour shift on Black Friday in a women's store that is in the biggest shopping mall in NY city. Will I make it?

I feel for you. I used to work retail when I was in school and often worked Black Friday. While its crazy and people can be obnoxious I actually found that the time went faster. Big crowds definately beat the times when there is no one in the store and you are stuck trying to look busy. If possible try to get on a register--you can avoid the masses and wrap up huge sales figures. Just make sure you wear comfortable shoes--you'll need them. P.S. If you get paid for credit aps, this is a great day to make some extra cash.

it should go by fast, I have to open and close the cafe I work at, and its right next to a major shopping mall in Denver. I think Ill have a total of 10 hours, but busy frustrating days go by fast for me. I think we should get paid holiday pay :P.

Of course. I use to work in a toy store and had to guard the tickle me elmo the year they came out all my myself and wait for people to walk up with tickets they got waiting outside. If I made it home from that you can make it.

Probably not. Wear a helmet and drink lots of coffee, or a little something else. Drugs and alcohol will be extremely helpful in this situation.
