unfortunately you don't have a lot of choices. pants will almost always be too long for you if you are 5'4" or shorter and have an inseam that is shorter than 31 or 32 inches. that is the standard inseam for most all designers. Some petites at banana republic and ann taylor/ann taylor loft come with 28 1/2" or 29". J. Crew also does a 30" on some of their pants.

I gave up years ago trying to find pants that fit me off the rack. It was such a nerve racking process to try on pant after pant where the only thing that was wrong was the length. even with 3 1/2" tall boots, I was still not tall enough to fit regular length pants. It is easier to just pay my dry cleaner $18 and get them hemmed properly.

i feel for you!!
i am also quite short and i got my school trousers from topshop right in the shortest size they were still too long, so the simpliest option my petie friend,,, let them drag on the ground!!!! mine are so ruined at the bottm but i just deal wiht t =] i usually wear skinny jeans at othet times and they are ever so easy to roll up so they are a good option for us shorties as they stay up.

good luck =] x

I'm 5'2'' and I wear 30'' inseam.
At Delias you can choose the inseam you need in pants and then go from there.

These American Eagle trousers come in an assortment of colors, sizes, and lengths.

Have you used 'wonder weave'? It's a great and fast way of taking up pants. all you do is fold the pants to the desired length and then iron it on and it sticks them, it takes no time at all. You can get it in Asda.
