I think both sexes do this equally. Usually, given enough time, the person can see where they messed up, too.

That same man... has an ex blaiming him for the breakup too. No one wants to admit fault. Men just do a better job at being loud about it... while women share their news through the proverbial grapevine.

I think that some men, as well as some women, do not want to admit their active role in breaking up a relationship. To limit it to men, as your question does, shows some deep down hostility toward men and a belief that you can do no wrong. Look in the mirror!

That's part of the reason their relationship didn't work out. They focused on what the other person was doing wrong instead of what they could do on their end to make things better. Blameshifting gets us no where. We need to learn to accept responsibility. Only then can we have hope to succeed and move forward..

Now, you really can't say that men ALWAYS blame their ex's. But the ones that do often are incapable of looking within themselves and taking responsibility for their own actions.

I think blaming others is what all human beings do. (It is always easier to put the blame on someone else rather than admit you screwed up.)

Not everyone is mature enough- or willing to accept- their share of the fiasco.

It's an easy cop-out. They don't ever want to admit it takes two to tango. It's a matter of pride and bravado.
