u mean the japanese word right ? well, it means :
Kind of like a mentor, it is part of the elements of separating age differences.. Even with twins, senpai is used for the older twin..
Senpai's get treated better.. for example : In a Japanese school sports club, such as a baseball team, the team are usually expected to perform various menial tasks for the senpai including washing clothes and cleaning.
But if you don't mean senpai, i dont think 'sampi' is a word, sorry.

The term "Scampi", by itself, is also the name of a dish of shrimp served in garlic butter and dry white wine, served either with bread, or over pasta. The word "scampi" is often construed as that style of preparation, not an ingredient, hence the seemingly redundant "shrimp scampi" or the seemingly impossible "chicken scampi".

Do you mean Scampi? If so, it is a garlic and butter sauce that you can also add peppers and onions and the like. Can be sauteed or broiled. This sauce is normally used for shrimp (Shrimp Scampi), however, I have had lobster scampi that is absolutely amazing!
