i think that abortion should be illegal because if someone dont want a kid then they shouldnt have opened there legs and or use a condom or use birthcontrol....and if the childs got a medical problem that is when they could do it buit i am still against it.....BUT THAT IS MY OPINION!!!

Kayla, you are young and inexperienced. Firstly, you voice two points of view. Your title said you don't think abortion should be illegal and your first sentence says that you DO want it to be illegal.
Abortion is a very hot issue because some people believe that life begins at conception, and others believe that life doesn't begin until birth. Some people have no problem aborting a tiny baby, and some people have no problem aborting a child who could live on its own. Some people think any abortion is killing a baby.
My view is that I can't tell you what to do. It's a personal matter. If you feel you must, I can't stand in your way. But I would never do it myself.

Theres going to be so many different opinion's on here! I think that a woman has a choice to make that decision on her own. If you are not ready and you want to wait then so be it. If you are happy with the decision then thats great too! I believe that a woman has a right to do what she wants with her body. But theres so many woman out there right now that will say no to abortions then when there in a situation where there raped, or in a bad realationship and they get pregnant they should have that choice because if they had to live with being raped by a stranger and keeping there baby thats just wrong.

No, not at all. Preventing a woman from seeking a legal and safe abortion if she so chooses reduces her to nothing more than a gestation tank. Of course, anti-choicer's view women as sub-human to begin with, so I suppose that's not a problem for them.

I had an abortion. I was using birth control pills. I also had cancer. I had an abortion so that I wouldn't die. Are you against that?
Should I have kept the child and allowed myself to die of cancer?

It should be illegal. If someone screws around or even with one guy, they know that it is possible to get pregnant. It's not the baby's fault that mommy wasn't careful enough! At least, have the baby and put it up for adoption if they still don't want their 'mistake'.
The only reason people get abortions is because it's not convenient for them at the time!
If someone was raped and became pregnant from that incident, it could still be turned into something positive. I mean that the mom is now going to have this tiny little miracle to give all of their love to.
It's just my opinion though.

I think it should be legal with restrictions. i dont think people should use it as a form of birth control but i do think if a woman has been raped or molested and has become pregnant or if there is a medical condition that threatens her life during a pregnancy then they should be able to have an abortion.

consent to sex IS NOT consent to pregnancy. birth control can and does fail. making abortions illegal WILL NOT STOP THEM! they will become dangerous and many women will die. why do you want to punish women? why do you not care about them?

I think abortion should be freedom of choice. Except if you've been raped.Then a women shouldn't have the child.

that's not my business. I'm not in their body. it's between a woman and her choices . we were not there for the conception- why be there for the results. it's not your business until its your problem. why do people make this a choice of society? no one asked me if i was killing my gull bladder when i had it removed... why ask about any persons body parts - and if you had any business telling them what to do as a society.? why do you care unless its you or yours!!!?

ever been raped and fallen pregnant? nope me either, but god forbid if it ever happened or for the poor women who it has happened to, i would hate for it to be illegal for them to not have a child they didnt choose to have. its ridiculous for people to be anti-abortion, would you rather there were hundreds of unwanted abandonded children running about? adoption is a choice of course but people should have a choice and not be put down for it.
