This is a wierd problem but...

I just installed the sims 2 nightlife on my laptop and it says your supposed to be able to see buildings around the place you are in...

Well, theres a lot of buildings by it...

But I can't see any...

This is really pissing me off...

If anyone could help I'd LOVE it...

In the sims click on the three dots button. There will be a screen for graphics performace (either gears or a monitor) there should be something for fade distance there. It is usually set at low. Change it to medium or large.

It's a game option that you can choose. If I remember correctly, it defaulted to showing the neighboring houses; if it didn't default for you, it's likely because your laptop isn't strong enough (according to the game) to run it, or it thinks the game will run better if you don't turn it on so it turned it off for you. Check the options - display/video - to turn it on.
