I love doing crafts, but don't live by any craft stores or have any money to buy supplies. All the crafts I find online need supplies I don't have. Do you know any fun crafts with supplies most people have?

P.S. I'm a 12 year old girl.

If you have flour and salt, and maybe one or two other ingredients you can make playdough. you can model the playdough into little characters or items for your room or in the house somewhere, paint them up and when you find the right recipe that will allow you to keep it a long long time, like bake it like other modelling clays, you should be able to google a good recipe of dough that you can keep, and you practice making nice little items, you could sell them and use the money to spend on supplies of a craft you would really like to do. You can make beads with the dough and make jewellry with them, hair accessories, you are young, your brain is fresh, see if you can think of some cool things that your friends or people your age would buy.
you might try cutting out pictures from magazines and making collages, sticking to a particular theme, like your friends, or family, your favourite things, or dreams you have for your future. frame them and put them on your wall, or make placemats and coasters out of them, using kitchen, food, dining, etc, pictures. If you have access to a laminator, (a friend or family member may have one if you don't) that will keep them and make them practical as useful items.
Other ideas may be to ask family members if they knit or crochet or sew and if they can show you a few things and if they can donate some supplies to you. no harm in asking and you'll not get far if you don't ask. life is a learning process every day, so all the best and hope this helps you a bit.

I started crafting on an ugly afghan. I bought a crochet needle (<$1) and took some old yarn from my mom and got started. It's extremely easy, and you get rid of all the extra yarn in the house (I've got three big laundry baskets full) and when you're done, you can snuggle with it on your own, or give it to someone special.

If you can't find directions, I will try to help. The afghan I'm referring to is a ripple afghan. You go up 9 stitches then put 3 stitches in the next hole (that makes a peak). Then you go down 9 stitches, and skip the next two (that makes a valley). Then you repeat as many times as you like.

Lots of people have different things. You could look around and see what you have, then google it. For example if you have food coloring, you could google "food coloring crafts" and you would get this:

I've had a lot of my crocheting problems solved by this guide. Plus it's good for inspiration as well.
