If they though it was just entertainment why did they want him to run for president.

I actually had a liberal guy on here who said there is truth in comedy, so he thinks it is true.

John Stewart is debating real life facts whether he claims it as entertainment or not, if people cheer an insult and boo facts like they did on his show that is propaganda and they are listening.

how can people be so dumb that calling it entertainment is just a way of agenda setting, some of you need to take broadcasting classes and you will know how agenda setting is used. It's all stations before some of you make ingorant Fox comments to make you feel better about the agenda you watch on CNN or ABC or CBS.

Don't fool yourself it's not just Fox.

Some of you people really can't be this ignorant can you?

We entice people who're like us you will possibly desire to entice the dumbest human beings there are reason i understand over a hundred liberals & i understand all and sundry is acquainted with he's a comedian. He can wipe the streets with any republican conservative no rely whether the con is a journalist (there are none that are sensible even to be humorous) a flesh presser or something yet all of us understand he's a comedian. might desire to he grow to be something else? he's extremely sensible so it is been universal that a guy or woman who starts off out in one occupation makes a occupation substitute. There are actors like Ronald Reagan who grew to become President yet to be a Republican you're basically required to be a puppet for a team of rich grasping people who wreck ninety 9% of the rustic.

I'd vote for Stephen Colbert (the real person) before I would vote for John Stewart. Stewart can be funny sometimes, but he can be annoying a lot of the time as well. The only thing more annoying at times are the relentless fanboys who think Stewart is more than he really is; I don't take Stewart for President people seriously.

People, including myself (not a liberal) like John Stewart because he makes the jokes that say what we were already thinking. I don't think too many people look to him to form their beliefs. In case you haven't heard, disillusionment with the government is at an all time high right now. Why can't the neocon toadies on YA realize that they are in the minority, and by a large margin, I might add. John Stewart gives us a chance to laugh at the stupidity of it all.

Entertainment, or indoctrination, I don't really care it's funny, and I happen to agree with most of what he says. Jon Steward, and Stephen Colbert are carrying on a tradition of political satire in the footsteps of Will Rogers, Woody, and Arlo Guthrie, the Smothers brothers, and Pat Paulsen to name a few.

I don't watch John Stewart, myself. I am aware that his show is comedy and I also am aware that Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO is not hard news.

Tell me something, though. Do you listen to Hannity or Rush and consider their shows to be anything other than opinion shows? Because if you do, you need to take a long, good look in the mirror before you insult the other side...

John Stewart is an entertainer. That said, he is a very smart man and speaks the truth

Oh please. Rush, Glenn, Bill? How can anyone make noise about Jon Stewart. It's entertainment and you are the fool to think anymore than that. Agenda setting is a 2 way path.

I wouldnt vote for him for president but John Stewart DOES makes some real sense sometimes.

Unlike some of the liberal-bashing on this site.

I don't think I understand your rant. If you are calling John Stewart's show "propaganda," then I find his "propaganda" entertaining. And Stephen Colbert too.
