does it bother anyone else that the media refers to our prestident as Mr Bush instead of President Bush, unlike Clinton who is still called President Clinton?
its not a big deal but it gets to me from time to time, just wondering if i was the only one?

I don't like how ex presidents are called President so and so. You officially left office. You are sworn in, then once you either resign, removed, suspended of duties by the Vice President, etc. you are no longer an acting President. Therefore, you are not a president. You are a civilian. There is only one President, one Vice President, and so on. When was the last time you heard George Washington addressed as President Washington???

It doesn't bother me a bit. I generally refer to the Presidents both past and present as Mr., rather than President. So long as the terms used are respectful of the office I see no problem with either.

Actually, I hear more of the media saying Bill Clinton, the former president, rather than Mr President Clinton. I think the media in a sense has more brains than they're given credit for, in this way only, knowing that almost ALL the American people can't recognize a dumbo, for a leader. THAT is unacceptable!

No, i've got no longer observed... in step with risk you and your buddies do in comparison to him so which you do no longer verify with him as "President Bush" because of the fact then curiously such as you have some appreciate for him. so a great way as i be responsive to, Bush gained the election each and every time Al Gore made them recount the ballots...

Since he didn't actually win the popular vote in 2000, and he should not be president anyway, I think Mr Bush is the correct way to address him.

I've been screaming about this since 2000!
People are not as easily manipulated by the media as they once were. That kind of 'better than you' attitude is what's killing the so called "news".
I think all media outlets should come out and announce who they are bias toward and be honest for once.
That's why Rush is so popular, you know exactly what believes like it or not.

it's the media for you, they do little things liek that to show disrespect, just like anyone they say something positive, notice how they will make a negative comment of some people think this. That is called agenda setting and is biased.
