This is a gift suggestion for a freind who own's no Zep CDs, but wants them for a Christmas wish list. Choose the three albums that you would recommend for a ...hmm... casual fan of the band.

I know what I'd be hard pressed choose just 3, but let me hear what you think.

My personal 3 favs are Physical Graffiti, Zeppelin 4 and Houses of the Holy, but if your friend is just a casual fan you should maybe get some compilation or best of albums. Some good ones are Early Days and Latter Days, Remasters and How the West was Won, which is an amazing live album.

Interesting. Zep III is one of my favorites and no one picked it, so there you go. Definitely Physical Graffiti. How 'bout In Through the Out Door. Still some classic sound and a newer sound that sadly never evolved.

Why not just start from the beginning and go with I, II and III? All solid albums and give a good foundation of whats to come. In my opinion the "best" ones are I, II and Houses. Really you can't go wrong with any assortment of I, II, III, IV, Houses or Physical Graffiti, because they are all classics, but of course this is just my opinion.

Welp, Definitely Houses of the Holy is the first one to buy.

The self-titled debut, the second album, and the fourth album. Otherwise, other than a few songs here and there, they just don't appeal.
